VICTORIOUS RIDERS SHOWCASE THEIR SKILLS AT LONGINES HATHAB TOUR 4

Doha, Dec 14 – Khalid Mohammed Al Emadi claimed an exciting victory in the Big Tour class during Tour 4 of the annual Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour, which took place at Al Shaqab’s Main Outdoor Arena.

The experienced Al Emadi, riding Colibri 19, finished first with a winning round time of 56.39 seconds. Mohammed Sultan Al Suwaidi took second place on Happy Feet, in a time of 56.40 seconds, while Mohammed Khalifa Albaker, on Verona, finished third in 58.01 seconds.

The winners and runners-up were awarded by the Event Director, Longines Hathab, Ali Al Rumaihi.

In the Open Class (Mini Derby 1), Khalifa Abdulla Al Khaldi, riding Dusty, emerged victorious in a time of 126.34 seconds. Second place went to Hamad Towaim Al Marri on BCO Come On Boy Z, in 130.97 seconds, while Hamad Nasser Al Qadi, on Jumbo, finished third in 131.99 seconds.

The medalists were awarded by Organizing Committee Member Longines Hathab, Badr Al Darwish.

The Dressage Level 1 competition saw Jassim Mohammed Al Kuwari earn victory on Lauries. Micky Nijboer, on Baltic Royal, finished second, with Kelly Guillambert third on Amber.

In the Dressage Level 2 competition, Kelly Guillambert claimed top spot, on Levante RH II. Maryam Ahmad Al Boinin took second place on Vol De Nuit Tardonne, while Rebecca Cruickshank finished third on Kelly.

The podium finishers were awarded by the Event Director, Longines Hathab, Ali Al Rumaihi, and International Dressage Jury Megan Black.

Day one action, meanwhile, saw Hussain Saeed Haidan ride Belluci Van ‘T Vleminkhof to victory in the Medium Tour category in a time of 40.37 seconds. Saeed Nasser Al Qadi finished second on Daydreamer EC in 42.20 seconds, while Mohammed Khalifa Albaker rode Verona to third place in 42.74 seconds.

The Medium Tour team event saw The Top secure top honours. Comprising riders Mohammad Hazim Abara on Ambre De Beaufour, Hussain Saeed Haidan on Belluci Van ‘T Vleminkhof, and Faleh Suwead Al Ajami on Quick Step, The Top produced a collective time of 146.86 seconds before completing the jump off in 40.37 seconds to claim victory. Lusail took second place, with Al Shaqab finishing third.

The Medium Tour individual and team event winners and runners-up were awarded by Abdullah Al Merri, Manager of the Future Riders at Qatar Equestrian Federation.

In the Small Tour, Abdulaziz Ghanim Al Nuaimi earned first place on his horse, Jalieny Diamant Z, in a winning time of 54.57 seconds. Mohammed Al Ghazali, on Alegro 84, took second in 54.82 seconds, with Ali Mohammed Al Qadi riding Higgs to third spot in 55.89 seconds.

Vice-Chairman, Organizing Committee Longines Hathab, Omar Al Mannai, awarded the Small Tour medalists.

Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour is organized and hosted jointly by QEF and Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation.

Longines, ExxonMobil, and Salam International are the main partners of the series, which is open to Qataris and residents of Qatar.
