Al Hitmi got Tour 3 off to a sensational start on day 1 of the action at the Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) Indoor Arena, riding trusty steed Dusty to a superb win, following on from her maiden victory in the category in Tour 2. The duo’s flawless routine once again had the fans in raptures, and proved too good for the other Small Tour competitors. Khaled Mohammed Al Emadi finished second on Bleu Boy, with Mohammad Jabor Al Naimi third on Naville Z.

The experienced Rashid Towaim Al Marri also enjoyed a triumphant opening day, clinching first (astride Mira V/D Roshoeve) and third (on Lamm Addiction Z) in the Medium Tour Individual event. Mohammed Saeed Haidan continued his fine start to the season, riding Miss Chili to second place.

Al Marri also tasted success in the Medium Tour Team category, winning top honors for ExxonMobil, alongside Cyrine Cherif and Saeed Nasser Al Qadi. Team Al Kass came second, while Ahmed Alrayes Group took the final spot on the podium.

The Future Riders kicked off the action on the second day. Qatar’s next generation of equestrian superstars would have drawn inspiration from Al Hitmi’s dazzling performance the previous day, seeing that she was participating in the Future Riders category herself as recently as last season.

Hadi Mansour Al Shahwani rode Kashmir to an impressive victory in the Optimum Time (Max 80cm) category, while Mariam Abdulkarim Abed won the Optimum Time (Max 90cm) category astride Animo’s Boy Van De Dennehoeve.

Hussain Saeed Haidan held off the competition in the Open Class category, delivering a faultless winning display over two phases astride Viahipi D'Auzay. Saeed Nasser Al Qadi took second on Best Of De Forets, while Hamad Nasser Al Qadi finished third on Callisto.

In the showpiece category of day 2, Saeed Nasser Al Qadi added to his Team and Open Class success by coming out tops in the Big Tour field. He produced a powerful performance full of verve and grace to clinch victory astride Electra B. Sheikh Khalifa Al Thani took second on Serendipity, with former Big Tour champion Hamad Nasser Al Qadi riding Gibria-B to third.

The annual Qatar Equestrian Tour, which will now take place over 14 legs of competition, having been increased from 12, is organized and hosted jointly by QEF and Al Shaqab.

Longines, ExxonMobil, and Salam International are the main partners of the Tour.

Mohammed Saeed Haidan continued his rollicking start to Season 5 of Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab, but it was 13-year-old Haya Khalid Al Hitmi who captured the hearts of the fans during Tour 2, which took at the Qatar Equestrian Federation Indoor Arena.

Taking part in the first day’s action, Al Hitmi delivered a flawless performance in the Small Tour, claiming victory astride Dusty. Making Al Hitmi’s triumph all the more remarkable is that this represents the first season she is competing in the Small Tour, having previously taken part in the Future Riders Category. Her win over her more experienced rival riders caused the excited crowd to erupt in applause, while Al Hitmi herself could barely contain her joy.

Joining Al Hitmi on the podium was Mohammed Jabor, who claimed second and third place with Naville Z and Baina respectively.

In the Medium Tour Individual category, Mohammed Saeed Haidan emerged triumphant with D Saucedo, continuing his winning from Tour 1, and setting the stage for further triumph on the second day. Rashid Towaim Al Marri finished second astride Mira V/D Roshoeve, while defending Medium Tour champion Cyrine Cherif took third on Villelongue.

In the Medium Tour Team category, Cherif and Al Marri combined along with Saeed Nasser Al Qadi to clinch victory for ExxonMobil, beating QAF (second) and Salam International (third) to the top spot on the podium.

In Day 2 action, the Open Class competition kicked off proceedings, with Hussain Saeed Haidan powering to victory astride Viahipi D’auzay. Salmeen Sultan Al Suwaidi finished second on Guilder’s Empire Of The Sun, with Saeed Nasser Al Qadi claiming third on Best Of Des Forets, to go with his success in the Team competition.

In the showpiece event of the day – the Big Tour category - Mohammed Saeed Haidan rode to a superb victory in an extremely experienced and competitive class.

Haidan, who won the first two places on the podium in the Tour 1 Big Tour, continued his red-hot form astride Miss Chili in Tour 2, winning top honors.

Hamad Nasser Al Qadi, a former Big Tour champion, came second on Gibria-B, while defending Big Tour champion Nasser Al Ghazali, astride Quel Homme, took third.
