LONGINES HATHAB TOUR 3 DELIVERS EXCITING PERFORMANCES

Salmeen Sultan Al Suwaidi clinched a double triumph during an exciting third tour of the annual Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour, which took place at Al Shaqab’s Main Indoor Arena on 29 and 30 November 2019.

Al Suwaidi emerged victorious in both the Big Tour and the Medium Tour categories.

In the Big Tour, riding Cantaro 32, Al Suwaidi claimed top honours in the Table A, One round against the clock with jump off (130/145cm), achieving a jump-off time of 33.19 seconds. Saeed Nasser Al Qadi finished second on Daydreamer EC, while Hamad Ali Al Attiya took third, riding Bolandro.

The winner and runners-up were awarded by President of the Asian and the Qatar Equestrian Federations and Chairman, Organizing Committee Longines Hathab, Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al-Attiyah, and Vice-Chairman, Organizing Committee Longines Hathab, Omar Al Mannai.


In the Open Class Top Score Competition, Art. 270 (110/115cm), Awad AlQahtani, riding Bellini D’Argonne, won first place in a time of 78.99 seconds. Second place went to Hamad Nasser Al Qadi, on Hugo Z, in 84.14 seconds, while Mohamed Abdulla Juma, on Davidoff Du Bois, finished third in 82.50 seconds.

Organizing Committee Member Longines Hathab, Bader Al Darwish, awarded the podium finishers.


The Future Riders competition also saw exciting action. In the Table A, Two phases, Art. 274.1.5.3 (70/85cm) category, Jassim Adel Al Saegh, riding Joly’s Arno, claimed victory with times of 30.33 seconds and 23.60 seconds. Ahmed Jassim Al Suwaidi, on Ziza, and Fahad Abdulkarim Abed, on Kashmir, finished second and third respectively.

In the Table A, Two phases, Art. 274.1.5.3 (85/100cm) category, first place went to Saleh Ibrahim Al Hor, riding Zaragossa, with times of 25.25 seconds and 21.51 seconds. Mutlaq Ali Al Hajri earned second place on Super Girl, while Saoud Abdulla Al Kubaisi finished third on Selest.

Day one action saw Salmeen Sultan Al Suwaidi claim his first victory of what was to prove a very successful weekend, riding Aslan 69 to top honours in the Medium Tour Individual category. In the Table A, One round against the clock with jump off (120/130cm) competition, Al Suwaidi won with a jump-off time of 28.22 seconds.

Faris Saad Al Qahtani finished second on Hidiene, while Ahmed Mohammad Al Badl rode Bontendro to third place.

In the Medium Tour team event, ExxonMobil claimed first place, with Al Shaqab finishing second and Lusail third.

The Medium Tour and team event winners and runners-up were awarded by President of the Asian and the Qatar Equestrian Federations and Chairman, Organizing Committee Longines Hathab, Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al-Attiyah, and Longines Hathab Event Director Ali Al Rumaihi.

In the Small Tour, Hamad Nasser Al Qadi won first place on Hugo Z. Riding in the Table A, One round against the clock Art. 238.2.1 (110/115cm) competition, Al Qadi took spot with a time of 43.49 seconds.

Khalifa Abdulla Al Kaldi finished second on Dusty, while Mohamed Sultan Al Suwaidi rode Birddyz to third place.

Organizing Committee Member Longines Hathab, Bader Al Darwish, awarded the medalists.

Longines Hathab – Qatar Equestrian Tour is organized and hosted jointly by QEF and Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation and is open to Qataris and residents of Qatar.

Longines, ExxonMobil, and Salam International are the main partners of the series.
